Rosemary ( Rosmarinus officinalis )
History - domestic culinary herb used since ancient times for culinary, religious and medicinal purposes. Known to have a stimulating effect on the mind it became a symbol of remembrance.
Uses - traditionally used in skin and hair care, reputed to stimulate hair growth and prevent premature baldness; has been used for greasy hair. Useful for catarrhal conditions, bronchitis, asthma and sinusitis. Its analgesic properties make it useful for rheumatism, arthritis and tired, stiff, overworked muscles. Helpful for poor concentration and nervous debility; vapourise whilst studying.
