Sesame ( Sesamum indicum )
Extraction - By cold pressing of the seeds.
Properties and uses - a very stable oil as it contains natural antioxidants. It has similar properties to olive oil. The oil is high in Vitamin E, B complex, and calcium, magnesium and phosphorous. Good moisturising properties and excellent for massage when added at 20% to other vegetable oils. Has been found to be beneficial for rheumatic and skin conditions, for psoriasis, dry eczema and broken veins. Has been used with olive oil for Indian Head Massage to counteract dandruff.
